The Half Pi Shawl

It's been a long road getting the Half Pi Shawl back up and running. When Grace and I started talking about republishing it, back in 2006, we never dreamed that in the meantime I would have a baby and Grace would be moving across the country. We want to thank you all for your patience, and for those of you who are new to the wonderful world of the Half Pi Shawl, Welcome!
The design started with a few pitchers of beer after work many many years ago. We wanted to come up with a pattern that was simple to knit (those were the garter stitch scarf days, you remember all that fun fur, don't you?) but also interesting enough to keep a more advanced knitter's attention. We also wanted a design challenge. And so it was.
There are two versions, Grace's version and Courtney's version. They are similar, the only difference is that Graces version uses one skein of Schaefer Yarns Anne and has more eyelet rows. Courtney's has stockinette between the increase rows into which you can insert any lace pattern you choose. It takes 2 skeins. Both are worked from the neck down, increasing as you go. We hope you enjoy knitting it.

Thanks!
